The temple

Pallippattu Bhagavathy Kshetram is a temple situated 2kms north of the popular and centuries old Chottanikkara Bhagavathy Kshetram in Ernakulam District. The Pallippattu Bhagavathy Kshetram is by itself more than three centuries old and the main deity of this temple is Shree Bhadrakaali .

Enshrined on one pedestal in the sanctum sanctorum are the main deity Shree Bhadrakaali with Dharma Shastaav on her left and Shree Durga on the right. Together the trio is believed to wash away the tears and fears of thousands of devotees.

The deity has been showering blessings and easing away the pains of thousands of devotees who come from far and near. Some come here with prayers for a child in the family while some come to be blessed with a life partner. Thousands have come here in prayers to ward of their ill luck and diseases.

Guarding the sacred deity on the left and right are Ghantakarnan, Nagayakshi, Nagaraja and the Raktarakshasu.

Pujas and offerings at the temple begin when the Nada (sanctum) opens at 6am and the Nada closes at 10am . Evening prayers are between 5pm and 7pm when the Nada is closed after the Deepaaradhana. (Puja with lamps)
